I'm Saubhagya ("S.C.") Mathur

Thank you for visiting my site.

I started to paint in middle school, 1966-1968. During high school and later during college, I switched to a career in Engineering and Science. I continued in this field and after almost 40 years, I resumed painting in 2018.

My main inspiration for painting came from my travels through the beautiful states of Alaska and Hawaii. This got me into painting landscapes and seascapes. I do not follow a particular scene or photograph. All my paintings are from my imagination and memories of various places I have visited.

I use wet-on-wet technique pioneered by Bill Alexander and later continued by Bob Ross. I have recently started to work with digital art covering nature and abstracts.
